Terms & Conditions

These terms are the rules for using TastyMeter. By using the site, voting, commenting or creating an owner account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use TastyMeter.

1. About TastyMeter

TastyMeter is operated by Dallas and Sons Ltd, a company registered in Mauritius ([Company registration number]), [Registered address in Mauritius]. TastyMeter lets travelers find and rate dishes in Thailand, and lets restaurants list their dishes. Contact: help.tastymeter@gmail.com.

2. Using the site

• You may use TastyMeter for your own, non-commercial purposes.
• You must not try to break, overload or get around the site’s security, or collect its content with bots or scrapers without our written permission.
• We may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time.

3. Votes

• You may vote once on each dish, based on your own experience of eating it.
• Do not vote more than once, use several devices or connections to vote again, ask others to vote for you, or vote on a dish you have not tried.
• Restaurant owners and their staff must not vote on their own dishes or on competitors’ dishes.
• We may remove votes that look fake or automated, and block anyone who manipulates scores.

4. Comments

Comments must be honest, relevant to the dish and respectful. Do not post:

• false or misleading statements, or reviews you were paid or rewarded for;
• insults, hate speech, threats or harassment;
• other people’s personal information, or content you do not have the right to share;
• advertising, spam or links to unrelated sites.

You keep ownership of your comments. By posting, you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to show, store and adapt them on TastyMeter and in promoting TastyMeter. We may edit for length or remove any comment, without notice, if it breaks these terms.

5. Restaurant owner accounts

• You must be the owner of the restaurant you list, or authorised to act for it.
• Give accurate information and keep it up to date: name, address, phone, opening hours, prices and photos.
• Keep your password safe. You are responsible for everything done with your account.
• One account per restaurant, unless we agree otherwise.

6. Listings and dishes

• Every new restaurant is reviewed before it goes live. We may approve, edit, reject or remove any listing or dish, for example if it is inaccurate, duplicated, misleading or breaks these terms.
• The free plan includes up to 3 dishes per restaurant. We may introduce paid plans or change limits later. We will tell owners by email at least 30 days before any change that affects them, and you can close your account if you do not agree.
• You keep ownership of your photos and texts. By uploading them, you confirm you have the right to use them, and you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to show and adapt them on TastyMeter and in promoting TastyMeter while your listing is online.
• Owners may reply to comments. Replies must follow the comment rules in section 4.
• You cannot pay to change a dish’s score or ranking, or to remove votes or honest comments.

7. Scores and information

• Scores reflect travelers’ opinions. They are not a guarantee of quality, and your experience may differ.
• Prices, opening hours, menus and locations come from restaurants and can change. Check with the restaurant before you go.
• Food safety and allergies: TastyMeter does not check ingredients, hygiene or allergens. Always ask the restaurant about allergies and dietary needs.
• Maps and directions are provided by third parties such as Google Maps, and may not be exact.

8. Emails

If you opt in, we send emails about trending dishes and restaurant deals. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to stop. Owners also receive service emails about their account and listings; these are part of the service.

9. Our content

The TastyMeter name, logo, design and software belong to Dallas and Sons Ltd. You may share links to TastyMeter pages, but not copy the site or its content in bulk without our written permission.

10. Third-party sites

TastyMeter links to and embeds other services, such as Google Maps and restaurants’ own pages. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Disclaimer

TastyMeter is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that the site will always be available, error-free or accurate, or that any restaurant or dish will meet your expectations.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Dallas and Sons Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by restaurants, other users or third-party services, including illness or injury from a meal. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country.

13. Your responsibility

If you post content or use the site in a way that breaks these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we face because of it, including legal claims from others.

14. Suspension and closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if these terms are broken or to protect users. Owners may close their account at any time by emailing us; we then remove the listing within 14 days.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date at the top and email owners about important changes. If you keep using TastyMeter after a change, you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, and disputes go to the courts of Mauritius. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections the laws of your own country give you.
